“Complete reform of our immigration system is necessary because it’s broken and we need to provide a path to citizenship for the law-abiding … millions of people who are living in the shadows here,” Blumenthal said. “But criminals convicted of crimes of violence or felonies posing a threat to our community should be returned right away and there is no excuse, legal or moral or diplomatic, for failing to return those criminals.”
